Sweet and Tender Oven BBQ Pork Chops for Two

” I discovered a great new, EASY way to have pork chops from H. Anton of North Dakota in a Cooking for One or Two Cookbook I like.

Prep is 3 minutes tops and it was SO tasty! My husband and I both raved about it. She used lemon slices, but instead you can also use a splash of bottled lemon juice.

I changed her directions just a bit to be easier.

Double or triple this if you need to; it is worth it! This recipe is a keeper!

Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 onion large, sliced
  • splash lemon juice and/or 2 lemon slices
  • 2 pork chops boneless or on the bone

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the salt, brown sugar, ketchup, onion slices, and lemon juice.
  • Place a piece of non-stick or regular aluminum foil on the bottom of an oven-proof pan or casserole dish. Grease or spray the foil.
  • Place the pork chops on top of the foil.
  • Spread the sauce on top of the pork chops.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until the inside temperature of the pork chops is 160°.

EXTRA TIP:

FOIL:    Instead of using aluminum foil, you can just grease or spray a pan or casserole dish.  I like the foil for easy cleanup!
