- ¼ cup sugar
- ¼ brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ cup butter
- 4 apples large
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- ½ cup water cold
In a small bowl, mix together the sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Set aside.
Peel the apples and slice them one-quarter inch thick.
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium low heat.
Add in the sliced apples. Sauté and stir constantly until the apples are almost tender, about 7-8 minutes.
In a small bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in the water to make a slurry. Stir the slurry gently into the apples in the pan.
Stir in the brown sugar mixture and let it gently boil for about 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Serve warm.
MIX UP THE FRUIT!! Pears, peaches! Mangos! Whatever you want!
FOR BERRIES, stir them in at the end just before serving so they don't get too soft.
