Ingredients
16cupswater
½headcabbagesmall
3potatoescut in half
4onionscut in half
5carrotswhole or cut in half
1tablespoonsalt
1teaspoonpepper
1tablespoonolive oil
2bay leaves
5peppercorns
8hotdogs
Instructions
Put the water in a large soup pot.
Stir in the salt, pepper, olive oil, bay leaves and peppercorns, then add in the vegetables and hot dogs.
Bring the water to a boil, reduce the heat to medium low and cook it at a low boil for 40-45 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
EXTRA TIP:
VEGETABLES: Vary the vegetables. Brussel sprouts or parsnips are good with this too. AMOUNTS: Vary the amounts of vegetables and hot dogs! Add more or less of what you like! SERVINGS: The amount of servings depends on how large your portions are! Most of the times it is with one hot dog, sometimes two! Great served with crusty bread!
