Bailey's Irish Cream Brownies

“Get your Irish on and make these AMAZING brownies, perfect for St. Patrick’s Day!  If you’ve never tried them, you are missing a great treat!  And they are so easy to make with a brownie mix!  Double the recipe to make a larger batch, because I think you may need to!     Enjoy!”

Makes: 16 brownies

INGREDIENTS:

 

BROWNIES:

1 brownie mix (19.8 ounce box)

½ cup Irish Cream liqueur (Bailey’s)

1/3 cup oil

1 egg

½ cup butter, softened

FROSTING:

2 cups confectioner’s sugar

½ cup butter, softened

2 ½  tablespoons Irish Cream Liqueur (Bailey’s)

DIRECTIONS:

1. BROWNIES: Preheat oven to 350º.
2. Spray or grease an 8×8 inch pan.
3. In a large bowl, mix all brownie ingredients together, beating well.
4. Pour batter into prepared pan.
5. Bake for 35-40 minutes.
6. Cool on a wire rack for 30 minutes.
7. FROSTING:
8. In a large bowl, beat all frosting ingredients together until creamy.
9. Frost the cooled brownies.
10. Decorate with sprinkles if you wish.
11. Store the brownies in the refrigerator or covered on top of the counter.
